When you visit the Henry County Museum and Cultural Arts Center, you take a step back in time. From the Ice Age to the Victorian Era to the 20th Century, the rich heritage of Henry County is alive in every room of this unique museum and cultural arts center. Located at 203 West Franklin, just off the Historic Square District in Clinton, Missouri, this museum complex is composed of three buildings which reflect the diverse architecture of Henry County.
A fully restored Anheuser-Busch distribution center serves as the main building of the museum and is proudly included on the National Register of Historic Places. This red brick structure contains the original floor plan and ornamentation as designed by the Anheuser-Busch company. The clerk's office, work room, cooling room, stables and loft are still present, but now hold a variety of unique collections from Henry County's past.
Privately conducted tours are made available to school groups and delegations from clubs.
The Museum is open April through December, Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. & Sundays by appointment.
